Join Design Insights with Jacie Johnson on 4/28 where she will lead a conversation on perspectives from a “retired” Interior designer
Jacie Johnson
Jacie Summers Johnson has practiced Interior Design for over 30 years. She has owned an independent commercial practice, taught at Weber State University (where she led the Study Abroad Program), and she ended her career by working at FFKR architects. She retired from FFKR 15 months ago. She thoroughly enjoyed every minute of her formal career! She worked in healthcare, hospitality, religious and various commercial projects, but she finds her passion in historic replication/renovation.
She is using every skill she has acquired to develop her retirement dream, building a gathering place near Lava Hot Springs. She’s turned in her corporate suits for denims and flannel shirts---and it feels comfy.
Her hobbies are bringing new life into old things. She refinishes and reupholsters antique furniture as a hobby. Jacie has begun dabbling in stained glass.
She has been married to Nylin for 42 years, they have 3 children and 9 grandchildren and skads of good, good friends.
