We are growing and looking for a Designer/Project Manager to join our team — someone who is truly passionate about the art of design and is committed to creating insightful designs from conception to execution.

About the Position: 

We are looking for a designer with a minimum of 3 years of design and construction experience. The designer's responsibilities will consist of assisting with the creation of client presentations, generating construction documents and visualizations as well as researching building codes and permit requirements for projects. They will work directly with our principal designer and team members to conceptualize projects as well as work with project contractors to guide projects through all design phases to completion. Please note there will be opportunities to work on projects of multiple scales including both residential and commercial projects, however our current portfolio is mainly residential focused.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of undergraduate degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Minimum 3 years of professional design and construction experience
- Strong aesthetic sensibilities, attention to detail, good organizational skills, self-starter and really strong ability to work collaboratively
- Strong written, oral and graphic communication skills
- Excellent client and contractor communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Ability to quickly produce high-quality  renderings

- Familiarity and proficiency with Studio Designer Program is a plus  
- Basic understanding of SLC Permitting and Building codes
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Access to a car and the ability to drive to project locations is a must
- This is a full-time, in person position. Office hours have some flexibility but presence in our Salt Lake City office is required a minimum of four days a week as in-person collaboration is fundamental to our process.

Ezra Lee Design + Build is hiring for a Senior Interior Designer who will be responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables in both FF&E and construction documents. A qualified Designer should be able to work on any/all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. They report to the Project Manager on tasks and deliverables and work directly with them to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion; on-time, on/under-budget, and meets Ezra Lee Design + Build’s quality standards. We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who is self-reliant, quick to complete tasks, and demonstrates strong creative thinking and problem solving.

Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

  • Lead and manage the design process from concept development to project completion

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, and project goal, turning their vision into design

  • Create and present designs, mood boards and drawings to gain client approvals

  • Select materials, furnishing, and finishes while considering functionality, aesthetics, budget and schedule

  • Provide guidance and support to design team members

  • Coordinate with architecture/construction teams to ensure successful execution and creation of design plans

  • Conduct on-site visits and inspections to maintain design quality and adherence to specifications

  • Stay up to date with industry design trends and practices

Some of the requirements for this position include:

  • Degree in interior design or related field of study

  • Proven experiences of at least 5 years in commercial interior design

  • Experience in construction management and construction management software (BuilderTrend, Procore, Build, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members

  • NCIDQ or CCID License preferred but not required
