Continuing Education Units (CEU's)
Education is a life-long pursuit and the process of becoming a well-educated design practitioner does not end when you graduate. Your professional development continues both formally and informally and IIDA supports you with numerous education options. Our continuing education programs provide you with the knowledge and confidence to prosper in today's rapidly evolving marketplace.
IIDA Professional and Associate Members are required to complete and report 10 CEU's (10 hours) of Continuing Education prior to December 31 of each year. All Professional and Associate Members (active and inactive) including Educators, IIDA Fellows, and Chapter Officers must adhere to IIDA compliance requirements.
The current compliance period runs from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017 and applies to those who became a Professional or an Associate Member prior to January 1, 2016. This allows you two years to complete the 10 CEU requirements. If you became a Professional or Associate Member after January 1, 2016 your first compliance period begins January 1, 2018.
IIDA accepts all IDCEC approved courses. It is the responsibility of each Member to maintain their own records.
Please review the Helpful Hints attachment before using the IDCEC CE Registry.
- Local Chapter Events: our local Utah chapter offers quarterly CEU's - visit our Upcoming Events page for future CEU opportunities
- IIDA HQ: visit the continuing education page of their website for more information
- IDCEC: view their course search page for opportunities
It is the sole responsibility of the member to complete the requirements and keep all records of courses taken. IIDA now accepts personal records of CEU credits by IIDA members. You may track your CEU’s on the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) website at www.idcec.org. The site also allows users to search all approved IDCEC continuing education units.
