National Council for Interior Design Qualification
The National Council for Interior Design Qualification is an independent, nonprofit organization that certifies professional interior designers’ competency. The NCIDQ helps to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by identifying interior designers with the education and experience to create interior space that is functional and safe.
There are a handful of companies that sell study materials but one website created by a local Utah designer has an awesome NCIDQ study guide and test taking strategies. Plus, all her tips are free so you should check it out.
NCIDQ Study Group Kick Off
Twice a year the IIDA Intermountain Chapter will host an NCIDQ kick off dinner to connect test takers with professionals who have recently passed the exam. We also have the most current study materials to lend to the study group. The spring 2017 study group is underway, if you would like to join please get in touch with our VP of Professional Development, Whitney Reynolds: firstname.lastname@example.org
IIDA Headquarters provides exam reimbursement through the form of an annual drawing. Once you pass all 3 exams you can apply for the scholarship. In the Spring of 2016 one of our very own Intermountain Chapter members received the reimbursement!
