Interior Architectural Designer

Responsibilities: Interest in whole building interior architecture required. Designer responsible for varied project development and deliverables across many building types. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Applies sound and diverse knowledge of design principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields. Acts independently regarding design methods and complexities. Flexibility in job duties is required. Collaboration is a priority.

You will work with the lead interior designer and project architects to contribute to the design of a wide range of projects. AE Urbia works on exciting projects including, but not limited to; corporate offices, multi-family, small/large tenant improvements, hotels and resorts. Your role will include creating and detailing interior construction documents, interacting with vendors, assisting in coordinating furniture selection and bids, floor plan layouts, finish selection detailing, and more.
Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. Software proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD are required, while SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are a huge plus. Examples of your work / portfolio are appreciated.

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to manage and inspect final product for quality of tailoring, quality of color, and overall appearance ensuring USA Premium Leather’s high standard for each piece. A successful candidate will have interior design experience with a desire to apply that aesthetic eye to a manufacturing setting. High attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision is essential. Regular work hours include 7:00am to 4:00pm weekdays with occasional Saturday commitments. Based in SLC office with no travel required.
Manage others & perform detailed inspection of final products for quality in tailoring and color control/match
Evaluate products for consistent aesthetic overall appearance
Timely and accurate maintenance of document files and notes from inspections
Evaluate product issues and make initial recommendations for possible changes to supervisor
Communicate regularly and clearly with management
3+ years interior design experience, no manufacturing experience necessary
Detail oriented with an innate sense of urgency and the ability to execute on tasks efficiently and calmly when multitasking
Self motivated with ability to work independently with limited oversight
Ability to communicate through written and verbal correspondence with all levels of employees
Speaking Spanish is helpful, not mandatory
