Interior Solutions is a client-focused office furniture provider. As a designer here, you will:
- Take on all interior design elements, including space planning; layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment; color coordination; electrical placement and recommendations; installation drawings; and reconfiguration.
- Create, modify and refine designs to conform to customer specifications, production limitations or changes in design trends.
- Coordinate the look and function of product lines.
- Consult with sales, project management and installation departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.
- Research product specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements.
- Attend client meetings with sales and/or manage accounts directly.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations—selection of finishes, presentation boards, bid specifications, etc.
- Contribute to team by anticipating and analyzing problem areas and suggesting recommendations to achieve project goals and objectives.
In order to fulfill those responsibilities, we need someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree in design and proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 (or recent years) and CAP
- Experience in contract furnishings industry [preferred]
- Knowledge of interior construction materials, finishes, furnishings and fixtures
- Knowledge of construction and architectural theory for application in the interior design process
- Ability to coordinate projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Uncompromised integrity and dependability
- Punctuality, self-motivation and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively without constant supervision
